Miss Cakes, our 3-yr-old is going through a princess phase. She loves all things princess. Her favorite Disney princess is Snow White, so she dressed as Snow White for halloween. For Christmas, she asked for everything Snow White. Most of what she received for Christmas gifts was Snow White.
Somewhere between Christmas & the first week of 2012, she decided that she wanted to change her name to Snow White. Since she made this decision, every single time we call her by her real name, she says “No, I’m Snow White.”
As you can imagine, this can get a tad frustrating, every time you’re telling her something, she “corrects” you. So, my husband has worked with her so she says her real name, but then says “But please call me Snow White.”
A couple weeks ago, I was doing a week’s worth of laundry. I folded all the kids clothes, Miss Boo’s, Lil’ Man’s, Lil’ England’s & then realized… I didn’t have any clothes from Miss Cakes. As I sat scratching my head, it dawned on me that she had worn her Snow White dress for an entire week.
Since then, we have gotten her to wear “normal” clothes. However, she still continuously reminds us that she is Snow White.
And asks if she can wear her Snow White dress.
