when God shuts a door He opens a window

I truly believe God answers every prayer, it’s just sometimes we don’t always like His answer. That’s what happened yesterday. He still may answer my prayer with a “yes” in the future, but yesterday His answer was “no”, for now (at least). Next week will be full of prayers, seeking answers, and possibly life changing events. I’m thankful that my husband will be on vacation this next week & will be home with us.

The Lord has recently placed a new project on my heart, and I hope to get a lot accomplished with it next week (I’ll give you more details as that develops). So although God seems to be shutting a door in one area of our lives, this new project may be our opening window.

I leave you with the verse that is keeping my spirits up right now:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

-Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

  1. [...] I posted a couple weeks ago. A few weeks ago, I posted a couple pretty vague posts (here and here) about how I felt God was telling me “No” (for now, at least) in response to a prayer. [...]

Thank you for reminding me that, yes, God answers every prayer in His own time and way…..not my time and way.  This iw why I am thankful that I worship a God Who hears and answers my prayers.  Peace—-Sonshine
